If you are anything like me, you are thinking about your summer holidays. Before you start packing, let's declutter the bags and suitcases.
If You Have 5 Minutes
Quick check: Gather all your suitcases, duffel bags, and travel backpacks. Check for any that are damaged, rarely used, or taking up unnecessary space.
Empty forgotten items: Open each bag and remove any leftover travel bits—old tickets, toiletries, or tangled chargers.
If You Have 30 Minutes
Sort by size and use: Keep only the luggage you truly need—one or two good-quality suitcases, a carry-on, and a weekend bag might be all you need.
Nest for space-saving: Store smaller bags inside larger ones to reduce clutter. Keep them in an accessible spot, but out of daily traffic areas.
If You Have Longer
Declutter extras: Donate or sell luggage that’s in good condition but never used. Many charities and shelters welcome suitcases for people in need.
Refresh travel essentials: Take stock of travel accessories—packing cubes, travel pillows, and toiletry bags. Donate or discard any that are damaged or no longer useful.
This Week’s Challenge: Declutter at least one piece of luggage you no longer use. Enjoy the feeling of travelling (or staying home) with less clutter.
