Step into the new season with a refreshed and organised closet!
If You Have 5 Minutes
Quick hanger check: Scan your wardrobe for anything you haven’t worn in the past six months. Pull out one or two items you can let go.
Daily essentials: Take a quick look at your go-to pieces. Are they easy to access? Move them to the front for convenience, and push less-used items further back.
If You Have 30 Minutes
Section by section: Focus on one part of your wardrobe—like tops, trousers, or dresses. Take everything out and assess each piece. Ask yourself:
Does this fit well?
Do I feel confident wearing it?
Have I worn it recently?
Sort and organise: Create piles for keep, donate, sell, and repair. Return only what you truly love and wear regularly to your wardrobe, grouping similar items together for easy access.
If You Have Longer
Full wardrobe audit: Take everything out of your wardrobe and go through it item by item. Try things on to assess fit and condition. Be honest—if it doesn’t spark joy or serve a purpose, it’s time to let it go.
Seasonal switch: Store out-of-season clothes in boxes or vacuum-sealed bags to free up space. This will keep your wardrobe organised and focused on the current season.
Upgrade storage: Use slim hangers to maximise space, and consider adding dividers, storage bins, or shelf organisers to keep everything tidy. Label shelves if needed for quick reference.
Did You Know?
Many UK charities accept good-quality clothing, and some offer free collection services. For items that are beyond repair, recycling centres and some retailers (like H&M) have textile recycling bins to keep clothes out of landfill.
This Week’s Challenge:
Declutter 5 pieces from your wardrobe that no longer serve you. Whether it’s an outdated style, something that doesn’t fit, or an item you just never wear, let it go and make space for what you love!
