Depending on how you feel about the seasons, this week's tasks may seem a bit depressing so I will try to put a positive spin on it.
Here in the UK we are heading into winter months so it is time to pack away the summer clothes until next year. I'm currently in Fuertevenura so I will be doing this myself when I get home tomorrow.
I know some people don't do this but I think it's a good idea to keep out of season clothing out of the way. This might mean putting summer/winter clothes in an attic, at the top of your wardrobe, under your bed, or wherever you can use. So that's what we are focusing on this week.
If you have 5 minutes...
Tidy up whatever clothing you can within your 5 minutes. Do this throughout the week and you'll be surprised what a difference it makes.
If you have 30 minutes...
Go through your summer clothing and pick out any items you don't need or want to keep. Sell, donate or recycle anything you decide to part with.
NOTE: You may wish to keep hold of summer stuff you wish to sell until next year. People may be less likely to buy summer things in winter. Saying that though, I sold a Christmas jumper in June so you never know!
If you have longer...
Once you have been though and decluttered your summer clothes, pack away anything you are unlikely to wear over the winter. How you pack it will depend on what and where you are storing your items. If you have limited space, you may wish to invest in some vacuum packs to make your items less bulky.
Unpack any winter items you may have packed away and put them in your drawers / wardrobe. Remember to use the container method to dictate how much stuff you keep. If it doesn't fit, either swap it out with something else or get rid of it.
Let me know if you uncover any jumpers or other clothing you may have forgotten about.
