5 tips for selling on Vinted

ree

If you follow me on social media you will know that I do a lot of selling on Vinted. Today I am going to share with you my 5 top tips to make sure your items sell. 1. Take good photos People on Vinted or any other selling platform are going to be scrolling through hundreds of items and you need to make sure yours stand out. Think about the lighting and backgrounds in your photos. Something as simple as having a plant in the background can catch peoples eyes. Try scrolling through yourself and see what stands out to you. 2. List for the right price It can be too tempting to try and get your money back for your items. You need to let that go. The money was spent when you bought it. People online want a bargain. I'm not suggesting you let your items go for nothing, but if the goal is to get rid of things, selling cheaper will get you a faster sale. Vinted allows you to see what similar items have sold for so use that as a guide. Also bear in mind that the buyer will have postage to pay too so they will factor that into what they are willing to pay. 3. Iron your clothes! This one is a real bug bear for me. The amount of people who take photos of creased clothing is really surprising to me. Imaging you are a shop. Your customers want to see your items looking their best. 4. Check your postage settings Vinted will give the buyer the choice of how they want their items posting. e.g. via Royal Mail, Ever, etc. You can remove some of these options in your settings. You might do this if you don't have local drop offs for certain companies. I took off the drop box option as I struggled to find empty boxes to use. Give this some thought if you want to avoid wasting your time. 5. Put lots of detail in your descriptions Put as much information as you can in the description. This should help you avoid lots of messages asking for measurements, etc. We want to make the selling process as easy and efficient as possible.

Good luck with your selling. Please get in touch if you need any advice.
